Sales Representative

Location: Aurora

Position Overview

Reporting to the Cement Manager, the Sales Representative will enhance the employer’s brand as an end-to-end Cement material solution provider for their customers. This will require understanding the bigger picture, optimizing the current business and capitalizing on existing networks to grow the market share.

Their ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent customer service skills who can excel in a highly competitive market and handle confidential business information.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate revenue and increase market share through direct sales of cement and slag
  • Gather and report customer and market information and stay on top of industry trends
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Participate in strategic sales & marketing planning and budgeting
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders for intercompany sales and service within the employer’s divisions
  • Act as the ambassador for the employer and participate in networking events, trade shows and industry associations
  • Occasionally some Operations responsibilities

Requirements

  • University Degree or Technologist/Technician Diploma preferred
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in cement and concrete industry
  • Self-starter with motivation to take initiative and strong work ethics
  • Exceptional organization skills to multitask and achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Willing to travel throughout Ontario
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle (Allowance for business use provided)
