Second Career provides skills training to help individuals who have recently been laid off to find jobs in high-demand occupations in Ontario.  It provides up to $28,000 for tuition, books, transportation, and basic allowance.

Software Developer

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop programming components 
  • Collaborate on new feature implementation and issue resolution with the product development team
  • Plan and perform tasks for current and future projects
  • Produce technical documentation
  • Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and occasional Tier 1 troubleshooting

Customer Support Specialist

Position Description:
 
As a Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing e-manifest creation for our existing customers and providing technical support for our Dispatch Software. Working independently, you will demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Performing data entry to create ACE or ACI electronic manifests for Canada/US Border Crossing
Contacting Customs Brokers for clearance of shipments
Ensuring shipments is cleared in a timely fashion

PAYE

Partnership to Advance Youth Employment

 
Toronto Community Employment Services will be holding an information session on the Partnership to Advance Youth Employment (PAYE) program. This is a partnership between the Toronto Community Employment Services (TCES) and Toronto Employment Social Services (TESS)
 
You will receive resume/interview assistance, employment counselling, job fair/hiring event leads with vetted employers and more. All services comes at no cost as we are a non-profit organization funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities (MTCU) in partnership with the City of Toronto.

Toronto Community Employment Services is offering the new Canada Ontario Job Grant (COJG)!

The Canada Ontario Job Grant helps assist employers in providing training to their employees. The grant will provide direct financial support to businesses and organizations with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees.
